Her single, «Wonderful Dream», was chosen for a Coca-Cola TV commercial prior to her death.

She and along with Lane McCray earned many awards for La Bouche including the German Grammy, the Echo, for best Dance Song of the Year in 1995, the ASCAP Song Writers Award, the Winter Music Conference’s win for best dance recording for the single «Be My Lover» and the Golden Europa, for Best Duo or Group. They were nominated for «Best Dance Video» at the second annual MTV-Europe Music Awards, three video music awards at the MTV VMAs in 1996, and along side No Doubt and Tony Rich for Billboard Music Awards’s Best New Artist category.
Is buried at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina.
